It starts with the story of Gwen, a young American woman who has just finished walking the Camino de Santiago and is lost—not physically but spiritually and emotionally. As the novel unfolds, Gwen explores different spiritual and esoteric paths, and she has life-changing encounters—with a mysterious Qabbalist, with a Merlin figure, and with a vision that starts to come to life…. She sets out to find out who she really is and to find her true name.

Many of you have asked us how we—two retired expats living in Girona (Catalonia)—travel. We recently made a very quick trip to Amsterdam, The Netherlands, to meet up with Gary’s son, Greg, who was there on business. We normally don’t make whirlwind visits, preferring to experience a location deeply, but there are always exceptions. We’ve prepared a podcast describing our long weekend.

Our pilgrimage experience unfolds as metaphor: losing the way and finding it again, following the wrong way, looking for signposts, both inner and outer. We recently started walking the Camí de Sant Jaume in Catalonia.
