Welcome to The Dry Bones Army Podcast, where we learn effective strategies to pray for an end to human trafficking.

I was recently in Tennessee to speak at a fundraiser event for the ministry of Blazing Hope Ranch, and I shared the stage with Steven Neff, an Assistant U.S. Attorney who used his time on the microphone to educate the audience about real cases of human trafficking he has prosecuted within this small, close-knit community. Steven also encouraged the attendees to pray and “go to the Creator of the universe,” asking God to intervene and bring healing to the victims and justice to the perpetrators of these crimes.

After hearing his heart for justice and his testimony of faith, I invited Steven to be a guest on The Dry Bones Army Podcast so he could share some of his experiences and advice with our members. 



Steven Neff has been AUSA in the Chattanooga office of the Eastern District of Tennessee for over 24 years. He is the prosecutor of Violent/Gun Crime, Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force, General Crimes, and two-time Branch Chief. Steven was once detailed by the Department of Justice as the Office of Overseas Prosecutorial Development, Assistance, and Training (OPDAT) as the Resident Legal Advisor in Tbilisi, (Republic of) Georgia, from 2012 to 2015. Steven received the DOJ Director’s Award for Outstanding Performance as a Federal Prosecutor in 2009 and the State Department Meritorious Honor Award in 2014. Before becoming an AUSA, he served on active duty in the United States Army as a JAG Officer for five years at Ft. Eustis, VA, and Ft. Carson, CO. His education includes a J.D. from Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law, Macon, GA; Law Review, Editor, 11th Circuit Survey; and a B.A. from Davidson College, Davidson, NC. 



Steven's passion for sports has opened doors for him to engage in ministry opportunities around the world.
