Matt drags Andrew through further Argento fun, this time hoping to lure him in with jazz. "Profondo Rosso" (aka "Deep Red") is the story of a jazz pianist and a wisecracking journalist who are pulled into a complex web of mystery after the former witnesses the brutal murder of a psychic.

Matt and Andrew settled down with their Magnum Ices to watch 'Dirty Harry' - When a madman calling himself "the Scorpio Killer" menaces the city,  tough-as-nails San Francisco Police Inspector "Dirty" Harry Callahan is assigned to track down the crazed psychopath.

Matt introduces Andrew to 'Calamity Jane' starring Doris Day: Deadwood, Dakota Territory, is largely the abode of men, where Indian scout Calamity Jane is as hard-riding, boastful, and handy with a gun as any; quite an overpowering personality. But the army lieutenant she favours doesn't really appreciate her finer qualities. One of Jane's boasts brings her to Chicago to recruit an actress for the Golden Garter stage. Arrived, the lady in question appears (at first) to be a more feminine rival for the favours of Jane's male friends... including her friendly enemy Wild Bill Hickock.

Matt and Andrew discuss "The Spy Who Loved Me" in which James Bond is back again and his new mission is to find out how a Royal Navy Polaris submarine holding sixteen nuclear warheads simply disappeared (again!) while on patrol. Bond joins Major Anya Amasova and takes on a web-handed mastermind, known as Karl Stromberg, as well as his henchman Jaws, who has a mouthful of metal teeth. Bond must track down the location of the missing submarine before the warheads are fired.

Matt and Andrew continue their delve into Max Opuls' back-catalogue with "The Earrings of Madame De..." in which an aristocratic woman known only as "Madame de . . ." sells a pair of earrings given to her by her husband in order to pay some debts and sets off a chain reaction of financial and carnal consequences that can end only in despair.

Matt introduces Andrew to the 1998 Asia Argento film "B. Monkey" in which Beatricè (B for short) is a thief who can get in anywhere. But she wants to leave her life of crime. A chance meeting with a school teacher and late night hospital jazz DJ may be her way out. 

One of those occasions when Andrew submits a film for Matt, but fortunately it's a Cannon film. Harry Mitchell, an L.A. manufacturer with a fancy car, a nice house, and a wife running for city council, has his life overturned when three masked blackmailers appear with a video tape of Harry and his young  mistress. He's been set up, and they want $105,000. To protect his  wife's political ambitions, Harry won't go to the police; instead, he  shines them on and then doesn't pay. They up their demands, so he goes on the offensive, tracking them down and trying to turn one against the  other. Their sociopathic leader, Alan, responds with violence toward the mistress and menace toward Harry's wife. Will Harry let up and pay off  Alan or can he find some other solution?

Matt and Andrew watch legendary Dario Argento's infamous interpretation of Gaston Leroux's novel. Most of the major elements are in place with a young opera singer seduced by a shadowy opera 'ghost' and Argento's helpfully added some extra things Leroux forgot to include such as a man having sex with a pile of rats and institutionalised pedophilia.
