  • Al-Anon Inspired: Restoring Trust Through Compassionate Communication In Soul Recovery
    2024/11/18

Send one way text to Rev Rachel

Today's episode is inspired by this question from an anonymous member of the Recover Your Soul Facebook community. "My spouse is currently sober and I want to know, how and when can I talk about things that he had done while under the influence that were immensely painful to me, without seeming like I’m shaming him. What would be the best approach?"
Reading from 'How Al-Anon Works for Friends and Families of Alcoholics', Rev Rachel reflects on the importance of compassionate communication and using the Soul Recovery process to heal from difficult and painful life experiences. We can not change the past, however, we can work to let go of the pain and resentment that those experiences have been for us in our lives and relationships and learn how to communicate in healthy and open ways.

  • Trusting Your Inner Wisdom: How Soul Recovery Guides Your Relationship Decisions to Stay or Leave
    2024/11/11

Send one way text to Rev Rachel

In this episode of the Recover Your Soul podcast, we explore one of the most profound questions in relationships: how to know whether to stay or leave. Through the lens of Soul Recovery, we’ll look at how relationships, whether they’re sources of love, challenge, or growth, can be powerful mirrors for our inner healing. This journey invites us to step into our own wholeness, moving beyond fear, codependency, or people-pleasing, and learning to listen to the wisdom within. Relationships have seasons, and part of our Soul Recovery process is gaining clarity on whether a relationship still aligns with our true self or if it’s time to release it with compassion. It’s not about a “right” or “wrong” decision but about trusting your soul’s wisdom to lead you towards greater peace, healing, and joy in your life. Join me as we tap into this courageous self-inquiry and open ourselves to the possibility that, by honoring our own path, we step closer to the life our soul truly seeks.

In this episode of the Recover Your Soul podcast, we’re talking about the changes in friendships that naturally happen as we grow spiritually. On the Soul Recovery path, as we become more aligned with our authentic selves, we may find that some relationships no longer resonate. Letting go of friendships that don’t support our well-being is a powerful step toward honoring who we are becoming. This shift is not about judging others but about recognizing when connections no longer feel healthy or fulfilling. In this episode, we’ll dive into the courage it takes to release these relationships, create space for friendships that truly uplift us, and deepen our understanding of compassion and detachment as essential parts of the Soul Recovery journey. If you're ready to embrace relationships that reflect your growth, this conversation will guide you.
