  • DEVOTIONAL: The Truth Behind Our Fraudulent Monetary System
    2024/10/23

Most people have no idea how our monetary system works. For example, very few people could explain the way dollars are created. Unfortunately, the truth is hard to come by, but as Christians, we cannot be ignorant any longer.

Today, we discuss Principle #5 and Mike begins to pull the curtain back on the way banks and our government utilize "unjust weights and measures" to defraud the American public.

    GOD'S DOMINION & OUR STEWARDSHIP

    1. Principle #1 - We acknowledge God’s dominion over all resources, and the
authority of Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit. Our role, through “secondary sovereignty,” granted to us by God, is to steward His resources.
    2. Principle #2 - We trust in God’s goodness, living with an abundance
mentality and enthusiasm to be “fruitful and multiply.”
    3. Principle #3 - As stewards of God’s resources we invest in what we know
and understand, and what allows us to leverage our wealth of knowledge
      and unique, God-given gifts.
    4. Principle #4 - We are active, not passive, investors of God's resources as stewards who will be held accountable.
    5. Principle #5 - We embrace honest money, banking, and investment
practices in obedience with God’s mandate for “just weights & measures.”

    • Deuteronomy 25:13-16
    • Proverbs 11:1
    • Isaiah 1:21-23

  • DEVOTIONAL: Called to be Active, Not Passive, Investors with Mike Hatch
    2024/10/16

Nowadays you might hear a lot about passive income or passive investments that promise streams of effortless income. However, as Christians, there is no such thing as passive investing.

Instead, we are called by God to be actively involved in our investments and business ventures as people who will be held accountable to how we manage His resources.

We look at Jesus' parable of the rich fool and apply this teaching to our own investment plans. Young and old alike, we should be taking an active role in our investments.

    2. Principle #2 - We trust in God’s goodness, living with an abundance

and understand, and what allows us to leverage our wealth of knowledge
      and unique, God-given gifts.
    4. Principle #4 - We are active, not passive, investors of God's resources as stewards who will be held accountable.

  • DEVOTIONAL: Christian, You Are Not Investing According to Biblical Standards
    2024/10/09

Most Christians believe all they have to do is follow a formula for investing, prescribed by Wall Street, to guarantee retirement. However, this is not what the Bible teaches.

Today, Mike discusses the third redemptive economic principle which involves leveraging our wealth of knowledge and unique, God-given gifts to contribute to human flourishing. We can't do this with our wealth trapped in the stock market.

    3. Principle #3 - As stewards of God’s resources we invest in what we know
and understand, and what allows us to leverage our wealth of knowledge
      and unique, God-given gifts.
