The Oxford dictionary definition of routine is a “sequence of actions regularly followed” In other words, a fixed program.

  • Your morning routine keeps you focused and helps you start your day off on the right foot.
  • There are many different recommendations on establishing your morning routine, but the important part is to find out what specifically works for you.
  • Life can pose challenges to creating a morning routine, but if you have the mindset that your circumstances are unique and it won’t work for you, you’re undermining yourself right from the beginning.
  • You have to be patient like a farmer when creating a routine. It takes time to establish and discover the rhythm that works for you.
  • Deb likes to wake up at a specific time and set an intention for the day.
  • By focusing your intention for the day, you become aware of it.
  • Another benefit of sticking with a morning routine is the reward of feeling consistent.
  • You can be successful without a morning routine, but with a morning routine you will achieve more and have a head start.
  • All masters mastered their craft by working on it and committing to putting in the time. A morning routine is both an effort and a way for you to give you space to hone your skills.
  • Try simply waking up 15 minutes earlier and go from there.
  • Rise before everyone else. This will give you quality time for yourself in whatever form makes the most sense for you.
  • Practice gratitude at the start of your day and watch how it will change your mindset over time.
  • Meditation is another great practice for your morning routine. Start with a few minutes if you struggle with it and don’t force yourself to sit still if you’re not ready.
  • Exercise, even in small doses, is a powerful way to start your day.
  • Warren Buffet and Charlie Munger, two of the greatest investors ever, read for over three hours a day. Reading as part of your morning routine is an excellent way to keep growing your mind and start off a day strong.
  • Being accountable and telling someone that you are starting a morning routine or how much your current one is helping is a good way to make sure you stick to it.
