  • 65: Carrie Campbell Moving Rocks by Leading with Integrity
    2024/11/22
Welcome back ROCK MOVERS!!! Today’s episode is going to be a little different - we are jumping right into the conversation with Coach Karen and her guest, Carrie Campbell as they delve into the essence of leadership. They explore the distinction between influencers and true leaders, the unique challenges faced by women in leadership roles, and the importance of mindset and identity in personal development. Carrie shares her insights on the responsibilities of leadership, the necessity of self-awareness, and the power of visualization in overcoming challenges. The discussion also highlights upcoming events and opportunities for personal growth and transformation. WHO IS CARRIE? Carrie Campbell, is and has been many things in her life so a brief bio never seems fitting, but to summarize Carrie in a few words... she has been an impact leader her whole life. At the young age of 4 years old her grandfather asked what she wanted to do when she grew up and her reply was "Change the World Gramps" and she has since spent her life dedicated to helping, serving and healing the world. A clinical counselor by education and an Elite Human Performance Coach in practice she with her husband Brian Grasso created The Eliminate Your Limits Mindset Program, which is the base foundation of all her coaching. Whether she is leading an NBA player to the greatest season and life possible, helping multi-millionaire corporate executives balance all aspects of life or helping save a woman from the self-sabotage of their trauma cycles. She thrives on serving others, changing, saving and creating lives. Outside her professional world she also holds the title of Miss Fitness USA 35+ as a fitness competitor and has her eyes set on a World Championship title. She is a wife and mother (to 2 biological and 2 chosen young adults) and while this is coming last, parenting and relationships are really the first thing in her life always. The relationship with herself of utmost importance, her life goals can be surmised with the acronym H.I.M. - ultimate happiness, impact and mastery. To know Carrie is to know she lives and leads into all of this with her full heart and soul. Today’s Takeaways Leadership comes with great responsibility. True leadership starts with self-awareness. Influencers often lack the depth of true leaders. Mindset is crucial for overcoming challenges. Visualizing success can lead to better outcomes. Women in leadership can redefine challenges as opportunities. Authenticity is key in coaching and leadership. The story you tell shapes your reality. Harnessing identity is essential for personal growth. Coaching should prioritize helping others over profit. • 64: Find Your Passion and Live an Authentic Life by moving the ROCKS of Expectations with Shridhevi Veerappan
    2024/11/20
Welcome Back ROCK MOVERS!! In this episode's conversation, Coach Karen interviews Shridhevi, who works with the neurodiverse and neurodivergent communities and parents. Shridhevi shares her personal journey of changing careers and finding her true passion in helping parents of neurodivergent children. She discusses the importance of embracing authenticity and the power of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in behavior change. Shridhevi also provides resources for parents and individuals with anxiety, OCD, and autism. She emphasizes the need for advocacy and support in navigating the education system for special needs children. Who is Shridhevi? She says, “I am a parenting coach for busy professional moms, specializing in helping moms who feel stuck, have tried everything, and still can't get their child to listen. I also assist those who struggle with understanding their child's emotions or dealing with anger. I have supported hundreds of parents with children ranging from toddlers to teens to raise emotionally intelligent, independent and resilient children. My approach is to help parents figure out what they want to do, rather than telling them what you should do. I use processes such as motivation, flexible thinking, and a value-based framework to help parents get unstuck. I help parents in every aspect, whether they have neurodiverse or neurotypical kids, improving health, increasing energy, or achieving a more harmonious work-life balance, to enhance their quality of life with their child. In addition to being a parenting coach, I am an author and podcaster, and I enjoy speaking, drawing, and painting.” Takeaways Embrace authenticity and follow your true passion. Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) can help increase flexible thinking and create behavior change. Advocacy and support are crucial in navigating the education system for special needs children. Resources such as books and coaching can provide guidance and help parents and individuals with neurodivergent conditions. Quotes from the show "Parents need help to navigate special needs challenges as much as the children do" "Being more authentic as a person creates opportunities" "Instead of thinking we have to Change behavior, see it as a replacement of behaviors" Chapters 00:00 Embracing Authenticity and Finding Your Passion 06:31 The Power of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) 13:49 Navigating the Education System for Special Needs Children 18:21 Resources for Parents and Individuals with Neurodivergent Conditions Thank you for listening to this episode of the ROCK MOVERS Connect with Shridhevi : Website: www.beingyoullc.com Podcast site: The Svee Show: HERstory in the making https://beingyoullc.podbean.com/ LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/shridhevi-veerappan-78547862/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/shri.vrpn/ Parent Page: https://mailchi.mp/10028a62dddf/parenting-coaching Author of Book: Who and I: Feeling Sad https://a.co/d/0TOFyk5 You can connect with Karen: By email at Karen@CoachKarenGray.com Website: www.CoachKarenGray.com YouTube: http://www.youtube.com/@coachkarengray Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/coachkarengray LinkedIn: https://www.linkedin.com/in/coachkarengray-intuitive-energy-coach/ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/stories/coachkarengray/ Join my FREE Private FB Community of Champions: https://www.facebook.com/groups/thechampionscommunity/ Check out my FREE QUIZ to discover your Self-Worth SUPERPOWER: https://www.coachkarengray.com/self-worth-quiz Link to MY Book: “Unleash Your Inner Confidence https://www.coachkarengray.com/free-resources
