Maksy and Average Joe welcome D1 Assistant Coach from Clarkson University, Cory Schneider. Being a Rochester NY native, Cory discusses Garbage Plates, Rochester Red Wings, Zwiegles Hot Dogs and more. Cory weighs in on skill development, not only for college players but for youth hockey players too. He discusses being patient with your development process and that every player has a different "route" to get to college hockey. He also discusses the important things that recruiters look for other than talent. Lastly, Cory discusses his musical interests and admits to being a "Swifty" just like Average Joe!

Maksy and Average Joe take the show on the road and broadcast live from Innovative Field, home of the Rochester Red Wings AAA Baseball Team. The fellas meet up with General Manager Dan Mason. Dan is former hockey player, hockey coach and ROCKER! Dan discusses what it takes to make the big leagues as well keeping it fun along the way. Dan's 35 years of experience sheds light on being a young athlete, taking the next step and rocking along the way. Dan also shares his love for AC/DC, METALLICA and other hard rock classics!

Show 25 with pro player Gabe Chabot focuses on PASSION for the game. Gabe discusses his somewhat of a roller coaster career from Juniors through college and now his pro career. Gabe relied on his passion for the game to carry him through, not only his low times, but also through his high times and has made him the player he is today. He gives great advice to any aspiring hockey player to find a role model to mimick and shadow. Also, to be aware of timing. When opportunity isn't knocking, you need to stay focused and tread water. When opportunity smacks you in the face, BE READY! MOST IMPORTANTLY, show up to the rink ready to play regardless of highs and lows.

Gabe also discusses his love for golf as a hobby. His go to music is METALLICA but has a strong passion for Country music as well.

Dan Carey, Rochester Knighthawks Pro Lacrosse GM, former pro lacrosse player, HOCKEY DAD and HOCKEY ENTHUSIAST joins the show. The fellas strenthen the resolve on playing mutlitple sports, playing with passion and loving whichever sport you're playing at the time! Dan discusses his passion for both hockey and lacrosse and how he played both passionately until he was 19. He also shares how his "off season" from one sport strenghtened his passion to play. Dan also shares the similarities between the 2 great sports. As always, the fellas discuss music. Average Joe supports his SWIFTY STATUS, while Dan rocks Pearl Jam till the cows come home...moooo.

NFL Quarterback (Bears/Broncos) and hockey fan CALEB HANIE joins Maksy and Average Joe in the Lair. The fellas talk the LIONS, the BEARS, PEYTON MANNING and lots of football. Then they swithch gears and talk hockey as Caleb is a big hockey fan and his son played. Caleb discusses the importance of playing multiple sports, as well as, handling pressure as a young athlete. Churchie, our resident goaltender and Detroit "specialist", also calls in and gives his 2 cents.

Keith joins Maksy in the RNH Lair for an amazing interview talking rock music, hockey and all the great similarities that go along with both. Keith is a life long NYR fan and recently a Vegas convert as he now resides there. Keith discusses his professional life as a guitar player with Dee Snider's solo band, his journey with TWISTED SISTER as a tech and guitar player, his 25 years in KISS tribute band. Keith also shares his love for the game of hockey and gives some great advice to young players and musicians. 

Part 1 of 2 has D 1 defenseman of highly ranked Clarkson University and of the US National Team, Haley Winn, joins the fellas in the Rock N Hockey Lair.  Haley discusses her play with Clarkson, as well as, her play with the National Team.  She discusses all her work to get there but the importance of living more in the moment.  She also discusses her life dream of playing on the Olympic Team someday.  A friendly rivalry has evolved for this summer between Haley and our own Average Joe, with some 1 on 1.  

D1 Baseball Umpire, Hockey Dad and Hockey manager, Dave Condon, joins Maksy and Average Joe on the Show.  Dave discusses the sometimes rocky relationship with Umpires, hockey refs, coaches and parents. Dave also talk about the unique relationship and impact coaches have on players.  The fellas discuss hockey parents and hockey parenting, as well as, teaching your child how to be competitive while still being a good hockey parent.  Dave shares his love for 80's Rock Music and many other great stories.  LSB rocks the show with a face melter "RAISE YOUR STICK"!
