    In this episode I chat to Peter Black better know as Blackie from the Hard-Ons who are celebrating 40 years of rock'n'roll this year with a new album, "I like You A Lot Getting Older" and a tour (not that they have been quiet of late). It was a great chat and we discuss (among other things):

    • The legacy of the Hards-Ons as a band name
    • Why the Hard-Ons have endured
    • What Tim Rogers has bought to the band
    • On being excited to play new material along with the "oldies"
    • How he obtained his Gibson SG
    • The "Punk Police"

    In Episode 8 I talk to Heli from Brisbane band the Glycereens. Note this was recorded a few days after I saw them in Brisbane with Nunchukka Superfly and was intending to see them again in Sydney on August 9 however they have unfortunately had to cancel. Heli was gracious with her time and answers and we discuss (among other things):

    • Gigging with Shonen Knife and being able to partake in their rider
    • The "Glyco Therapy" album and how it pays tribute to Nath
    • Early influences from Finland to Australia
    • Heli's early bands in Brisbane and how the Glycereens formed
    • Songwriting and creativity
    • And gear talk! Fuzz pedals, Fender Jaguars and amps!
    • Heli also reveals her technique on how to fit a Fender Twin into a Honda Jazz

    And there are also two songs from the Gylcereens. "Jane Street" just before the chat starts and "Poison Ivy" at the end. Both are cracking songs from "Glyco Therapy."
