How far are you willing to find your son who's missing? Maybe willing to take a blow torch to a man's foot? This is what Edmond does when his son Ethan goes missing while his ex wife Joan tries to cope with it. A stellar performance by James McAvoy with his character being completely improv, but it doesn't quite help the story that feels rushed or the loose ends that never get solved by the end of it. We're not sure if the original is better and will maybe check that out one day but overall a fun watch because when you go searching for your son, sometimes you gotta bring down a kidnapping syndicate.

What unfolds is betrayal from his idol, no friends except for a murderer, constant anxiety, and a woman dead in his room. A film that deserves more credit due to the story telling and dark humor that it creates. People may think he's a write off, but to us, he's a creator.
