11/25 STAND UP AND CLOWN (ELYSIAN THEATER)
The Clown Boss is back with another solo episode! This time, Chad discusses the idea of rough play – shows that purposely court danger, hurl insults and tackle difficult topics. The episode was inspired by the recent backlash over comic Tony Hinchcliffe’s comments at a political rally held at Madison Square Garden. Chad shares his thoughts on creating safe spaces for these kinds of shows and what clowns can focus on to make sure it’s a positive experience for the audience. Also, examples of when rough play can cross the line (at least, for him) and miss the mark.
