Today, we're looking at the first trait of the Big 5 Personality Scale - Agreeableness. Agreeableness is the tendency to weigh others' interests against your own. It can be understood in terms of negotiation - someone high in agreeableness will negotiate on behalf of the interests of the other, whereas someone low in agreeableness will negotiate on behalf of their own interests.
Agreeableness is broken down into two sub-traits: compassion and politeness.
We're answering three questions: What is agreeableness? What are the advantages/disadvantages of high agreeableness? And what are the advantages/disadvantages of low agreeableness? ---
