Being in the Moment isn’t easy, especially in today’s world of “always being on” and being “ ultra-accessible”. However, if you are in the moment more – you will also thrive in your transition more.
Here is a list of things that might help you along your journey of “Being in the Moment”:
- Take a break from social media and/or technology
- Journaling
- Visualize (daily goals)
- Wander – get out in nature
- Gratitude ball – or some other routine to show or demonstrate your gratitude
- Review your day
- Meditation
- Laugh – there is no shame in laughter
- Play – yes, the obvious. But also turn mundane or difficult tasks into games
- Breathe
- Spend time with your community – people who make you fill happy, encouraged and fulfilled
- Exercise – yoga, Pilates, running/jogging, martial arts
- Focus on one thing at a time – what’s the next step?
