Bernie Baktashian @bernue aims to move through the all world’s beautiful complexity with empathy, curiosity, authenticity, humor, and integrity. Intentionally identifying core values helps her feel closer to self and reminds her to welcome and appreciate differences in others. It also helps narrow down new endeavors because while her instinct is to do and learn everything right at this moment she also gets very sleepy, very easily.  You can often find Bernie engaging in  a number of activities that align with her values, including but not limited to: performing improv, exploring the world with her 16-month old niece, listening to podcasts, rollerblading, cooking in the fall and winter, learning about mental health and social norms, crafting, making up love songs about her border terrier mix, scrambling to finish a book for book club in the last minute and working as a nonprofit fun developer. Full disclosure, she is getting a little concerned because her employer keeps insisting her title is “fund” developer and asking her if she’s heard back about that grant yet.
