  • Why do I have to be sober? Was I really a weak-willed loser like the stigma says? Why do I want to eat so much sugar and drink all the coffee? In the Sober Powered Podcast, I will help you understand how alcohol affects the brain, how to navigate sober life, and how to develop the coping skills and tools you need. This podcast is for anyone whether you are sober curious, made the decision to get sober for good, or you're been sober for years. I'll cover a variety of topics to help you get and stay sober like alcohol cravings, relapse, habit formation, coping skills, and emotional sobriety. I know you don't believe me now (because I didn't believe it either), but sober is better. Give me a chance to convince you. About me: I was a daily drinker who got sober on November 9, 2019 after 5 years of desperately trying to moderate. I was a biochemist and now I use my science background and lived experience in sobriety to teach you how alcohol affects the brain. I am also a certified anger management specialist.
