Week of October 27 through November 2
1 Kings 5:1-5; 8:27-30, 41-43
SUMMARY:
King Solomon planned to build a temple for the Lord. At the dedication, Solomon expressed his hope that all the world will come to know the Lord through the temple.
THE POINT:
The temple was a place to connect with God.
QUESTIONS ASKED:
- The temple was destroyed in 586 BC, then rebuilt, then destroyed again in 70 AD. So, we don’t have the temple anymore to connect with God. Do you have a place that is special to you where you can connect with God?
- When we say “connect with God” what do you think that means? What does it look like? What does it feel like to connect with God?
- What is your God Sighting?
