A season of watching a team tread water continues. I don't think it will continue., but I don't know if I'm right.  So, I feel your pain and wait...not so patiently anymore.

We are exactly where we should be (given the injuries). So, I believe the same is true in the other direction. But we'll see.

And some ramblings or another about why I love baseball.

Our Chicago White Sox season thus far can be described by one word: Unwatchable. So, in addition to the talked about pitch clocks, I propose we adopt some more rules to aggressively speed up the game and put us out of our misery earlier.

And yet, I still believe in my heart of hearts that they'll be there in the end; although I'm getting really tired of saying that.

A much needed win on Saturday stops the bleeding. And is it possible we're not giving Tony La Russa enough credit?

Winning ugly is beautiful? Only if you would rather be lucky than good. Otherwise it is not. Meanwhile, the player they could least afford to lose is lost for a few weeks, and I consider what would be the least and most used "Hawkisms" this year if he was still calling the games.

Bases loaded with nobody out? Please, no, anything but that. And similarities between this year's team and the 2012 Detroit Tigers.

No, the sky isn't falling. And yes, the season will turn around. But the plan they had heading into this season after the disappointing ends of the previous two is cause for concern. Because from what I saw, we were way more than just a Josh Harrison and AJ Pollock away from even getting to the second round of the playoffs, let alone winning it all.
