TAREQ HADHAD shares his remarkable and inspiring story. He is the CEO of Peace by Chocolate, a family-owned, Canadian chocolate company that not only makes delicious fair-trade chocolate, but they also donate time, money and other resources to promote peace and improve lives. It’s the Hadhad family’s way of giving back. In 2015, they had to start from scratch as new Canadians, after their original chocolate factory in Syria was bombed out. The Hadhad’s lived hand-to-mouth as refugees for several years before Tareq learned about a potential opportunity in Canada from a kind cab driver. He acted on that knowledge and soon re-built the family business in a foreign land. Tareq shares that story in our podcast, along with so much of his wisdom.
