STEVIE DI STANISLAO- BIO Steve Di Stanislao aka "Stevie D" is a professional drummer, vocalist, producer. Many top name artists in the music industry often call on Stevie’s drumming, vocal and producing talents. Stevie has recorded and toured the world with luminaries such as David Gilmour, Crosby, Stills & Nash, Don Felder Kenny Loggins, Joe Walsh, Chris Robinson, Loggins & Messina, Paul Anka, The Apex, SolarFlare and many more. Stevie D has been featured in Modern Drummer Magazine on several occasions. June 2002 issue, features an interview with Rick Long relating his work with David Crosby & CPR and a most gratifying feature article in the August 2006 issue of Modern Drummer Magazine. Again in 2016, MD featured Stevie in an article called “Gearing Up” which talked about his equipment choices for specific gigs. Also, in 2016, “Drum Head Magazine” presented a full feature article highlighting Stevie’s musical journey and his career work with David Gilmour, Crosby/Nash, Loggins & Messina along with endorsement ads with Axis percussion, Aquarian drumheads and Paiste cymbals. Stevie has also been featured in Italian drum magazine “DrumClub” and also french drum publication Batterie. Stevie can been seen on David Gilmour’s live concert movies “Remember That Night, Live at the Royal Albert Hall” which also features David Bowie and Crosby/Nash , “Live in Gdansk” a live concert filmed with the Baltic Philahrmonic in front of an audience of over One Hundred Thousand people in the Gdansk shipyard and most recently the one-of-a-kind performance “Live In Pompei” recorded and filmed in the historic Pompei amphitheater ruin. These are continually aired all around the world. Stevie can also be seen on” Live at Abbey Road” and has performed on several occasions with David Gilmour on UK television show Later With Jools Holland. Other works include Loggins and Messina “Sittin’ In Again, Live at The Santa Barbara Bowl” DVD and Crosby/Nash Live 2011 DVD and An Evening With Crosby, Stills & Nash Live 2012 DVD Stevie has continued his work with these great artists throughout recent years and is looking forward to doing more. As writer, singer and producer - Stevie leads his own jazz quintet called “SolarFlare” With Shem von Schroeck called The Apex Writes, produces and sings in a project called 28000 days Stevie is also a member of The Angel Force Band which performs concerts to raise awareness of veteran suicide which has become a rampant epidemic in this country. The Angel Force Band is made up of members from Sugar Ray, The Who, Bob Dylan, Robby Krieger, CSN, Skunk Baxter from The Doobie Bothers, Jim Cregan (Rod Stewart) and more.
