    This podcast is back from the near-death caused by the WGA/SAG-AFTRA strike to talk about an episode of Supernatural where Dean just cannot stop dying. KJ, Meredith, Jenn, and Chi gathered to talk about Mystery Spot. We take a quick minute to talk about a writer who didn’t write this episode and wasn’t credited at all in any way with it. Then we have to make a tough decision about what this means for the Death Count segment. We also discuss in depth in-universe explanations for the suspicious lack of Florida content in Supernatural. KJ also campaigns hard for maple syrup as the ultimate breakfast condiment.
    CW Episode Description: Sam and Dean investigate the disappearance of a man who went missing at a tourist location. While searching the site, Dean is shot and killed by the owner. Sam is devastated but stunned when he wakes up the next morning to find Dean alive and well. As the day unfolds, Sam realizes he is re-living the previous day and tries to prevent Dean's death, but to no avail. Dean dies again and Sam must learn to live life without his brother by his side.

    KJ, Meredith, August (Saving People Queering Things), and Beth (Raising Winchesters) are here to talk about everyone’s favorite dad-Bobby Singer. KJ tells an anecdote about unmonitored internet access during their childhood, and tries to convince the squad that Bobby should’ve murdered John Winchester and kept his children. It’s the first look at Demon Dean, Bobby’s dead wife Karen, a truly cruel move by Sam to save the day, and Bela’s here to be the ultimate boss babe.
    CW Episode Description: Sam and Dean race to Bobby's (guest star Jim Beaver) side after he lapses into a coma and can't be awakened. While unconscious, Bobby battles his personal demons and the reason he became a hunter is revealed. Sam and Dean discover someone poisoned Bobby with a potion that will kill him if he doesn't wake soon. When the brothers decide to take the potion themselves to enter Bobby's dream in order to save him, they come face to face with their own personal nightmares.

In other news, Dean and Ruby have finally met, Sam drives an irreparable wedge between himself and his brother, and KJ weighs the pros and cons of selling their soul for witchcraft.
    CW Episode Description: Sam and Dean travel to Sturbridge, Massachusetts, and discover a coven of witches that has killed two people. Ruby warns the brothers to stay away as the demon controlling these witches is very powerful and will surely kill them. Ignoring her plea, Sam and Dean go in after the coven and confront the head witch, who reveals Ruby's past.

    KJ and Meredith are joined by long-time guest Frances, as well as Meredith’s sister Audrey for the conclusion of Gordon’s storyline. If we had a nickel for every time a former Buffy actress played a vampire in a Gordon episode, we’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot, but it’s weird that this time KJ’s seen all of BTVS. It’s also a Bela episode, and Sam and Dean have *checks notes* their 100th fight about Dean’s deal this season. At least this one leads to actual communication.
    CW Episode Description: Sam and Dean capture a female vampire named Lucy (guest star Mercedes McNab) who claims to have no knowledge of how she became a vampire. The guys discover Dixon (guest star Matthew Humphreys), a male vampire, is giving out human blood to unsuspecting females in bars, offering it up as the "latest drug" and turning them all into vampires. Meanwhile, Gordon (guest star Sterling K. Brown) escapes from jail and goes after Sam. However, Dixon intercepts Gordon and turns him into a vampire, which makes Gordon more powerful than before and a much bigger threat to Sam.

    S03E05: The One Where Dean Won't Kiss A Frog

    Despite gathering some lovers of fairytales, this episode failed to impress KJ or their guests-Meredith, Nick, and Audrey. However Meredith did give us a great lesson on the Grim Brothers, everyone writes a happy ending for two characters most harmed in the course of this episode, and Audrey and KJ do double-takes at the Demi Lovato look-alike in this episode. Also too many Into The Woods references are made, cause, you know, fairytales!
    CW Episode Description: Sam and Dean investigate a small town that has been plagued by a number of strange murders that resemble fairy tales, such as Little Red Riding Hood, Snow White and Hansel and Gretel. Meanwhile, Sam summons the Crossroad Demon (guest star Sandra McCoy) and threatens to kill her with the newly rebuilt Colt unless she releases Dean from his deal.
