  • Curating Around The World - Judy Stevenson

    Judy recently retired from Hereford Museum where she was the the Senior Curator (of Collections and Access). She takes us on a curating journey from Peru via Chicago, Western Europe and London before arriving in Herefordshire.

    Judy talks about some of her favourite finds and how she was treated for a serious back problem in Peru which could in the Western World be described as different if not unconventional treatment...and it worked!

    For our North American listeners, in this episode we have a recipe for Pumpkin Pie! Delicious!

They reminisce on their move from a major London Hospital to Herefordshire, some of the people they worked with over many years, and situations they found themselves in.

  • Sutton Primary Academy School - 'A Safer Sutton' Harmony Project
    2024/07/15

    Today Mike and I learnt from Freya, Jessica, Daisy, Harry, Matthew and Taylor about their Year 5 work on helping to make their community a safer place in support of the Sutton St Nicholas Parish Council. Their Year 5 teacher Miss Sheppard, and Mrs Bloore the Head of School talked to us through the Harmony Project (a Worldwide Project in schools). The children then went on tell us about looking forward to starting in Year 6 in September and then they finished off with some jokes! Mrs Bloore chooses a recipe from our village Cook Book. Strawberry Pavlova!

    Welcome to Alistair! You may have heard him commentating at the BIG UK rally circuits such as Silverstone. Alistair talks us through what a Rally Co-Driver does; some of the world famous rally drivers he has commentated on, and the cars he has driven. He talks about his favourite rally car that was made in the North-West of England many years ago along with a hair raising escape from an argument with a rock on a Scottish beach while co-driving in a rally.
