A WORD FROM PRESIDENT PATTOPIC: Gay Life Reality (My Experience)

First of all, I want to go on record to say that this particular video is my story based on my experience. I am also not trying to speak for everyone who’s gay nor do I understand everyone’s experience. But, I do want to use my platform to express my thoughts and concerns on this topic.

Though, we have come a long way today in accepting and embracing gay people than we used to in the past. There are still young people growing up today that have the same fears of acceptance. We all faced something similar many years before we accepted ourselves.

This is my way of letting people out in the world today. People may be facing this right now in their lives who feel alone and scared to be themselves. It’s also easier said than do for sure.

The people who lived through our experiences were willing to share and teach us their struggles. Now, it is our responsibility as the generation behind them to either accept or deny those lessons. To reach back and teach to others.

Hopefully, in sharing my story with you today it will help you truly understand that at the end of the day. You are just as important and have every right to be free, safe and embrace your true self just as anybody else in this world.
