  • 64. Should I Stay Or Should I Go?
    2023/05/25

The future of TWES is unclear, and today, I'm sharing all my thoughts on why. I promise this isn't a pity party episode—it's actually really fun and recaps a wonderful week and weekend, dives into Deli Dan a la Queer Eye, and then I share my reasoning on why my efforts may best be used elsewhere besides this podcast. I think I make some strong points, so tune in and if you want to reach out to me with your own thoughts, you know where to find me!

  • 60. The Ebbs and Flows of Life-Long Friendship
    2023/04/13

Family is great and so is having a life-long romantic partner, but friends do so much of the heavy lifting throughout our lives so who we choose to remain close with means A LOT. That said, people are complex by nature and evolve overtime, so friendships that ebb and flow are just a part of life. In today's episode, Emma chats about the roles friends play in your life, how to navigate shifts in the friendship, when it's time to "break up" with a toxic friend or just let it fizzle, and shares some of her anecdotes about her best friends over the years. There's so much more to be said and studied on female friendships, but this is a good start.

    Small Batch Carrot Cake

    2023/04/06
On Tuesday 4/4, Emma turned 36 and decided there was no better way to spend the day than with her best friend (Whitney) and her one month old (August) as they recapped their experience at Taylor Swift's Eras Tour concert. Whitney is a Swiftie and has seen her three times in concert, whereas Emma is more Swiftie adjacent and this was her first time seeing her live, and they both have thoughts. Tune in to listen to two 30something millennials talk all things Taylor Swift, new motherhood, loud shows, and lots more! — Show edited by Alyssa Chrisope — Follow TWES on Instagram — Sign up for The Weekly Digress (an EMMASTHING newsletter) — Follow EMMASTHING on Instagram

  • 58. Paging Nurse Geddie
    2023/03/30

I met Stephanie Geddie my freshman year of college at the University of Kansas, and we've been friends ever since. Geddie is our smartest friend (we've discussed this—I'm not offending anyone by stating this fact) who decided to do a 180º with her career, going from marketing to the healthcare field as an ER nurse. In this episode, Geddie shares how she realized she was in the wrong field in her late 20s, and how she pressed the reset button to get to where she is today. It's a bad ass story, and I couldn't be prouder to call her Stephanie Anne Marie Geddie German.
