  • Episode 1: When You Invite Yourself to the Fish Fry
    2020/12/02

We talk about centering in three plates. In your first buffet trip, we'll talk about that time Kelly - my partner - invited himself to a fish fry. For seconds, we'll talk to my friend Courtney, about one of her friends that couldn't see that their family held all the power in relationships with their Black employees. In the third part - as you pack your to-go plate, I'll share a story about meeting a friend's Black eighty-year-old maid. So join me as we talk all about what it means to de-center yourself as a white person AND center Blackness.

  • Episode Zero: Welcome to the antiracist cookout
    2020/11/19

In episode zero, you'll meet me - Corey Williams - your Black virtual BFF and your host for the antiracist cookout.

In the Black community “invited to the cookout” is shorthand for someone who isn’t black but GETS IT.  What is it - well, it's ALL THE THINGS that we’ll be talking about in the podcast.

And in this first episode, we'll talk about the four rules of the cookout - you gotta bring something, you can bring somebody (but you're on the hook for how they act), you gotta act right, and it's all about joy.

    Join me!
