There's so much buzz around the word empathy - at times it can seem like the ultimate virtue, the one that could solve the world's problems.

But there's a problem with empathy - too much of it can actually do more harm than good!!

Joining me for today's conversation is Laili González!

Laili has worked as an Interior Designer for nearly 20 years, but it was her own journey and deep belief in transformation that led her to Feng Shui. As a licensed practitioner, she focuses on balancing both the aesthetics and the energetics of your home to harness its power and create spaces that propel clients towards greater joy, expansion and harmony. Laili is passionate about helping people “do the outer work” by incorporating their environment as an essential pillar in their healing, growth and mindset journey.

It feels like everybody has a narcissist in their life nowadays - it makes me wonder if we have just had a huge influx or if we are just throwing around something we don't really understand!

Joining me for today's conversation are Corissa Stepp and Janice Lombardo.

Corissa is a dedicated Somatic Relationship Coach and Narcissistic Abuse™ specialist. With a passion for helping fiercely independent and intuitive women, Corissa empowers them to cultivate peaceful, loving relationships by addressing emotional triggers and trauma.
Drawing from a profound understanding of the nervous system, Corissa guides individuals towards safety, enabling them to explore and heal thought and behavioral patterns rooted in childhood and relationship trauma, especially narcissistic abuse. Through a unique approach incorporating Human Design, Corissa assists clients in rediscovering their true selves, cultivating their courage, confidence, and worthiness, ultimately paving the way for a life they deeply desire.

Janice has over 24 years’ experience as a medical advocate, caregiver and cancer survivor. She is a passionate public speaker, published author, medical advocate, WillowEOL Educator and as of March 1, 2024, an Agent with Thanacare. Janice has the tools necessary to help individuals create their Directive Plans and Final Wishes electronically. These documents are invaluable in helping loved ones navigate and carry out their loved one's end of life wishes without the stress, overwhelm and chaos that she has witnessed when individuals do not have these guidelines in place.

How often do you find yourself doing all the 'right' thing, the thing that everyone said were going to solve your 'problem' only to find it - it doesn't?

Or maybe you finally found something and it worked - for a while, but now you're not sure why it doesn't anymore? And the only thing you can think of doing is doubling down.

It's so easy to feel stuck - or hopeless. But what if...it's actually what is supposed to happen?

Diving into today's conversation of what it means to be a human are two lovely human beings: Jen Uschold and Stephanie Aycock!

Jen Uschold grew up in Western NY and has been a PT for over 3 decades. She has worked in multiple treatment environments including travel PT. Out of her love for PT and helping others to empower themselves, she was drawn to both pain science and health coaching. She has completed a Fellowship in Pain Science with Evidence in Motion. Jen is an eager learner and has also studied Lifestyle Medicine and Positive Intelligence.

Stephanie Aycock is 1 of 3 co-founders of The Self-Care Bitches, LLC. She helped create a system based on neuroscience to help people feel good and build a solid foundation in their self-care. She is also a transformational coach, speaker, actress, screenwriter, and volleyball coach to young girls.

  • When doing the right thing feels wrong
    2024/07/21

    Send us a text

We are all told that if we do the right thing we will get rewarded - that if we do the right thing it will feel good.

But what happens when it doesn't?
What happens when you follow all the rules but don't get the results?

Sometimes it finally causes us to relook at how we've been functioning in the world and to take steps that finally lead us down the path that's right for us!

Joining me for today's conversation are Jill McClennen and Michael Tanner

Jill is a Certified Death and End Of Life Doula and the podcast host of Seeing Death Clearly, where she creates space to help people get comfortable hearing conversations about death, dying, and grief while also learning that by embracing our mortality we can live a better life.

Michael, by day, is a non-profit professional who works with a large human services non-profit. And by night, is a comic book writer and co-creator of 'Junior Braves of the Apocalypse' and 'Orcs in Space.'

  • The Future Of Feminism
    2024/07/14

    Send us a text

What's the first thought that comes to your mind when you hear the word feminism?
For some it's a battle cry, for some, it's home, for some, it's a dirty word.

Whatever thoughts come to mind it can be hard at times to believe that in 2024 we still have to fight for equality between the sexes - and at times it can be easy to become disheartened.

But there is so much reason to hope!! Yes, there is so much more to do - but the battle looks different than it used and the future is bright!

Joining me for today's conversation are Sylvia Morrison and Lisa Tuthill.

Sylvia Morrison is an Author, Speaker, Humanitarian, and Coach. Sylvia is the Founder of Links Across Borders, a non-profit organization that co-creates libraries and facilitates educational programs for children in Ghana, West Africa. Links Across Borders has built 8 libraries so far, and supplied over 70,000 books and other educational resources to communities in Ghana.

Lisa Tuthill - Lisa is a mental health therapist and 5 years as a Spiritual Coach. Over the past five years, her focus has shifted to working primarily with highly sensitive individuals. Her approach involves guiding them in understanding their own nervous system, navigating challenges such as overwhelm, people-pleasing, and perfectionism, and ultimately empowering them to thrive in their unique experiences.
