    In this special Big Dorrie, Naomi Moran, General Manager of the Koori Mail interviews investigative journalist, Ivamere Nataro, visiting from Fiji.

    Iva works for the Fiji Sun Newspaper and has been visiting Australia throughout May and June 2023, attending the DART Centre for Journalism and Trauma Conference in Brisbane and has also been sponsored by the ABC and the Koori Mail to stay on for a few more weeks. Whilst staying in Lismore, Iva has been covering stories about Fijians living and working in regional NSW.

  • Celebrating 20 Years of YABUN!

    In their first episode back for 2022, Nay & Luke yarn with Tim Leha, CEO of Gadigal Information Service (GIS) about the 2022 YABUN Festival which will celebrate 20 years on January 26.

    A renowned Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander arts & media hub based in Redfern, Sydney, GIS established the annual January 26 YABUN Festival and is the home of Indigenous community radio station Koori Radio.

    Nay & Luke Dorrie with Tim about the adjustments the Festival has had to make in order to proceed due to covid, and all the ways community can still get involved in this year’s YABUN Festival online and from the comfort of your yard or lounge room!

    Luke and Nay Dorrie about Dean’s involvement in the epic new film Araatika: Rise Up, written and directed by Larissa Behrendt. Dean yarns about the evolution of a new Dance featured in the film, the importance of telling stories through dance, and how being connected to culture and community makes you strong.

    Dean has a Dorrie about his upcoming role as Coach for Parramatta’s NRLW team, and the critical need for the sport industry to provide a better pathway for more coaching and executive roles for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
