Have you ever heard "It's not about what you know, it's who you know"? This episode we dig into nepo babies and the reputation they may or may not deserve. The good ones, the bad ones, and the very bad ones that wouldn't have a career if it weren't for who their family was. We also burn some potential advertiser bridges, but we did it for you! Maybe offset the possible cash cow by following us on all our socials? I don't know, just a thought. (Link in bio) Have a great week. Enjoy.-C

We've seen the story play out over and over again. Humans showing their hubris by creating a highly intellectual monstrosity that ends up causing their own demise. Terminator, Westworld, 2001: A Space Odyssey, just to name a few. The creations became smarter than their creators. This week's episode goes into a handful of the negative sides of AI and their current impact on our day-to-day lives as well as the future it can lead to. It's a longer one, but definitely worth the listen. We get a little more existential than usual. Enjoy. - C

Ever been taken back by something that just came out of left field. Something that popped up and seemed completely out of place? Like Keanu Reeves showing up as a tumbleweed in a SpongeBob movie or taken your Swiftie fiancé to a Slipknot concert. These things just don't go together, but they happened anyways. The same goes with the topic for this episode. Lyrics in popular songs that made you do a double take. If any English scholars want to put that degree to use, take a listen and let us know who's right on the adjective disagreement. Enjoy. -C

"Don't be that person", a phrase that I'm pretty sure was meant for today's topic. Birthday week people. People that are so consumed with themselves that they need to drag everyone along with them celebrating one day for an entire week. I'll admit, I did soften on my position a bit, but only as it relates to restaurant coupons that give you the opportunity to celebrate your birthday the whole month. That's where it ends. We have a special guest host this episode, leave a comment and give her a shoutout to tell her how great she did. Enjoy- C.

Some things stand the test of time: marble statues, the Wilhelm scream, my hatred of M. Night Shyamalan. And some things... don't (fat suits in sitcom flashbacks, anyone?).

Today's episode covers relics of a bygone era, including greatest hits like "Love Thy Neighbor" and other common phrases that haven't aged well.

One phrase that unfortunately does stand the test of time: "You can sleep when you're dead."

I may or may not have recorded this on four hours of sleep. This is a judgment-free zone... right?

    Enjoy!- S

When people say "it was a simpler time" it's probably being followed up by something pretty racist, but not in this episode! Our "simpler time" is all the way back in the 1990's, when Spice Girls roamed the Earth and dirty flannels were a fashion statement and the world hadn't been flooded in the pessimism that came with the explosion of the internet. Listen along as we discuss what the 90's meant for us from the perspective of someone who lived them from the beginning to someone who only caught the tail end. Enjoy. -C

Everyone's got an opinion. Some you might agree with or some you might disagree with. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but some things that are so objectively bad that everyone can agree it's not a good product. Sometimes something comes along that is so bad it ends up making a complete 180 and becomes beloved for how bad it is. That's what we're tackling today. Movies so bad they're good. The cinematic version of a seeing Yoko Ono in concert, something so unbelievably bad that the novelty is what kept us coming back for more. Enjoy.-C

Kitty Hawk, North Carolina. 1903. Two brothers created an invention that would completely change the world forever. Orville and Wilbur Wright's new mode of transportation made it possible to travel anywhere in the world in a fraction of the time it would take any other way. Somewhere between then and now we've lost the appreciation for flight and everything that goes along with it. This episode we get into our experiences on planes and in airports that show we, as a human race, haven't evolved all that much. All the main character wannabes, all the seat-spiller-overers, and generally unpleasant people get called out. It's a short one, easy to knock out in a single sitting so sit back and let us vent about how ridiculous air travel has become. Enjoy. -C
