It may star Bill Skarsgard and FKA Twigs as Eric Draven and Shelly but the similarities end there - classic villain Top Dollar is gone, and now Eric fights demons with soundcloud raps. It’s also been a critical and commercial disaster, with critics yawning and the audience not even showing up.
But what on earth possessed them to ‘fox’ something that was never broken? Is there anything to redeem this latest Hollywood cas-grab? And will we ever live in a world where this sort of cynical crap isn’t all that Hollywood is offering?
