Wednesday, July 16th: Today on The Daily Grind, John unpacks the Parable of the Tenants — a story Jesus told in Matthew, Mark, and Luke about a vineyard, stubborn tenants, and a rejected Son. In this bold parable, the vineyard represents Israel, the tenants are the leaders who misuse God’s gifts, and the servants are the prophets. The climax is the Father sending His beloved Son — a direct picture of Jesus facing rejection and death. The leaders knew He was pointing the finger at them. John reminds us that this story is about us, too — we’re stewards, not owners. We’re called to bear fruit for God, not run life on our terms. The rejected stone has become our cornerstone — the foundation of a new people built by grace. Will we keep pushing Him out, or will we build on Him today?
