    Join us as we speak with Suzanne Barr about the connections between food, emotion, activism and rest. 

    Suzanne Barr is a chef with a signature flair for fresh comfort food. Her impressive list of roles includes Head Chef at True True Diner in Toronto, owner of Saturday Dinette and being  a resident judge on Food Network Canada’s, Wall of Chefs. Alongside this work, Suzanne regularly advocates for food security, marginalized communities, mental health, and pay equity. In 2022, Suzanne released her beautiful book My Ackee Tree: A Chef’s Memoir of Finding Home in the Kitchen. Suzanne is currently based in Florida with her husband Johnnie Karas and their son where she is developing a product line with Suzanne Barr Food and working as a consultant.
