One of the companies becomes one of the strongest we've spoken about so far, the other seems like just plain glass cannon fun.

We speak in depth about how this living rulebook has evolved over time, how the hero paths and companies came to be as well as giving him the opportunity to speak about his favourite companies - The Shire and Karna.

I've been joking within my playing group for the longest time about how terrible hobbits would be in Battle Companies but having spoken to Val I might just be wrong and I can see humongous amount of potential in them especially with a massive 25 model limit.

Karna, in my mind are basically ninjas - I've used them quite a bit myself so it was good to speak to Val who is a very experienced player with them but he uses them in an entirely different way to be - for starters he basically uses them as Rangers!

Fiefdoms and Minas Morgul are examined with a fine tooth comb this week.

Fiefdoms I'm using right now and they're really fun to play with but have I made mistake in my setup.

Minas Morgul are a company I've used in pick up games and I've realised that I'd do the completely differenty given the opportunity to - I'm definitely going to use the again from scratch in the near future!

I should issue a formal apology to Sean Bean and Gollum - this really is a trend I shouldn't have started.

Our next companies are Rohan and Isengard which Stephen has used a lot so he'll have plenty to say particularly about his Isengard company which he is using at present

This week we're diving into Osgiliath and Cirith Ungol companies.

Osgiliath is the closest you'll get to playing Rangers if you're using the community rules.

Cirith Ungol gives us our first taste of access to monsters in Battle Companies as you can get Giant Spiders!

You'll also hear me murdering impressions of both Sean Bean and Gollum - this really is a trend I shouldn't have started.

We also work out that one model could potentially be wounding on a 2+, tasty.
