  • LOOKING LIKE A MOTHER- Who decided what a mother looks like ?
    2024/07/07
In this episode, i talk about the realisation iv had later in life at the sheer absurdity of society’s tendency to judge our mothering abilities based on our appearance. It’s unnecessary and misleading. If I could do it all over again, I wouldn’t waste energy worrying about my appearance. I wouldn’t have fed into my feelings of inadequacy by emphasising the importance of dress sense.
As moms, we often feel pressured to conform to a “motherly” appearance. But who decided what a mother should look like? If we all embraced our unique styles, we might have a greater understanding and acceptance of one another. Join me as we relate to the never-ending pressure to look the part and try to understand how to FEEL the part. I want to remind us how we talk to ourselves so we can remove the lies and replace it with truth.
