About Andrew Brown I was 23 years old in New York City on September 11th, 2001. And much like most Americans, that day changed my life forever. Expecting what should have been just another Tuesday… I, and all of us, were met with tragedy. I knew I had to do something. I called up an old friend and we headed to the trade center site in a big blue truck with an American flag waving proudly behind us. We weren’t really sure what we were going to be met with when we reached ground zero but what I saw deeply moved me. A community of helpers. From EMS, to firefighters, to tradespeople. I was working back to back with those trying to make a difference and finding survivors. I was deeply moved by this experience personally and it really sparked my professional transition. From then on I knew I wanted to be a voice for the unsung heroes who dig deep each and every day to keep our communities thriving. I left my IT job and began my work advocating for the trades. That is when I decided to build Toolfetch alongside my brother.
