In this episode, I explore a crucial aspect of recovery that doesn’t get enough attention: the role of discipline, obsession, and curiosity in the long journey of stroke recovery. Having survived a stroke and now facing an MS diagnosis, I understand the level of commitment it takes to keep showing up, especially on the hardest days.
I’ll share how discipline has helped me push through when motivation was low, and how channeling obsession in the right way can lead to real progress. But it’s not just about pushing through—curiosity plays a big role in my journey, driving me to ask questions, try new approaches, and take charge of my health.
I reflect on the mental and physical hurdles I’ve faced, and how even small steps, like learning proper breathing techniques or sticking to therapy routines, have led to major breakthroughs. For me, recovery isn’t a checklist, it’s a lifestyle built on persistence and adaptability.
I also touch on a recent Joe Rogan podcast that got me thinking about healthcare. What if doctors were rewarded for outcomes, not just how many patients they see? This episode is a reminder to take responsibility for your health and stay curious, disciplined, and engaged.
