The Marie-Christine Williams Show

著者: Marie-Christine Williams
  • サマリー

  • Genocide Survivor, Author, and Keynote Speaker Marie-Christine Williams was abandoned by her mother when she was only 3 months old, abused by her father from age 7 to 14, ran from death squads for 100 days during the 1994 Rwandan Massacre, and then spent years recovering from it all. She endured everything imaginable…and things unimaginable. In this podcast Marie-Christine shares her experience as a biracial female who lived in Africa, Europe, and now the United States. She will share more of her unique story and experience, and how it relates to current events and struggles of today. It’s about taking a hard look at ourselves and the world we live in with the goal of promoting unity and acceptance (because we are all in this together), inspiration (because our past and even our present doesn’t dictate our future), and appreciation and gratitude (because most people are as happy as they decide to be, and there are many opportunities to improve for anyone that has the desire.) What to expect: -Marie-Christine to talk about parts her story she’s never shared before. -Real life stories from the “trenches” (ie. First Responders, Military, Individuals who’ve overcame a trauma) -Messages of unity and acceptance -Inspiration and motivation -Hard truth (Because sometimes we need to hear things we don’t want to hear) -Thought provoking discussions and ideas -Some laughs and maybe even a few tears What this podcast is NOT about: -Racism -Political agendas -Making excuses -Controversy for the sake of dividing people
