  • Professor Mack David's Story
    2024/11/23
His father passed away when he was one month old and his mother passed away when he was 11. He attended and graduated from Trinity School in Limestone County, Alabama. His grandmother, who was born into slavery in 1855, saw him graduate from college in 1960 and in 1967, he was the first black teacher hired by Athens City Schools to teach English at Athens High School. After four years at AHS, he went to Calhoun Community College to teach. That’s where he would work for the next 28 years before retirement. Tonight, it’s an honor and a privilege to have retired Professor Mack David joining me on the show! Listen & share.
