Joe Nieuwendyk was a 20 year NHL Veteran and a three time Stanley Cup Champion with the CALGARY FLAMES, DALLAS STARS and the NEW JERSEY DEVILS. He was also an Olympic Gold Medalist with Canada in the Salt Lake City Winter Olympics!! He was only the 2nd player to score 50 or more goals in his rookie season at that time, and won the Calder Trophy as the NHL's most outstanding rookie! He scored his first 100 goals in just 144 games!! Nieuwendyk was inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2017 and was named one of the NHL's best 100 players of All time in 2017.

Andrew Ladd is in the house! 16 seasons in the NHL - a two time Stanley Cup Champion with the Carolina Hurricanes and Chicago Blackhawks. Was drafted 4th over-all in the 2004 NHL Entry Draft by the Hurricanes and went on to become one of only 398 players to play in over 1,000 NHL Games! We are very excited to be joined this week by Håkan Loob, a rare member of Hockey’s “Triple Gold Club” which, to be a member, means you must win a Gold Medal at the Olympic Games, a gold medal at the IIHF World Championships and also win the Stanley Cup – all three! Only 30 players in the history of the sport of hockey have managed to accomplish this. Loob only played 6 years in the National Hockey League – all with the Calgary Flames, but in a very short time he had a very big impact becoming the first Swedish player to score 50 goals in the NHL and played in 2 Stanley Cup finals, including being part of Calgary’s only Stanley Cup Championship Team in 1989.

So thrilled to have coaching legend, Scotty Bowman on our final episode of the season! We are switching it up a bit with featuring our first coach on the show, but not just any coach - Scotty Bowman is an icon as a National Hockey League coach for 30 seasons! He holds the record for most coaching wins in NHL history, with 1,244 wins in the regular season, plus another 223 wins in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. Bowman is often regarded as the greatest coach in NHL history.

As head coach, he has won a record nine Stanley Cup championships; five with the Montreal Canadiens in the 1970’s, one with the Pittsburgh Penguins in 1992 and three with the Detroit Red Wings in 1997, 1998 and again in 2002. He is the only NHL coach in history to lead three different teams to Stanley Cup victories.

Scotty is now 90 years young and is sharp as tack!! Great stories with lots of reminiscing about some of the legendary players and teams he coached over the years! Enjoy the interview!

Brooks Orpik is a 2 time Stanley Cup Champion and was a 1st round Draft pick of the Pittsburgh Penguins - 18th overall - in the 2000 NHL Entry Draft - He played for 16 seasons in the NHL – 11 with the Pittsburgh Penguins and 5 with the Washington Capitals for a total of 1,035 NHL Games. He had the unique opportunity to win the Stanley Cup with two of the NHL’s most prolific stars of the past 2 decades: Sidney Crosby and the Pittsburgh Penguins in 2009, and nine years later with Alex Ovechkin & the Washington Capitals in 2018. He is the only player to win the Cup with both the Penguins and Capitals franchises. Named after legendary USA "Miracle on Ice" Coach, Herb Brooks - Brooks is also an Olympic Silver Medalist with the 2010 USA Olympic Hockey Team and is the first Stanley Cup Champion to be born in the state of California – please welcome our friend – Brooks Orpik!

Kevin Lowe is a 6 time Stanley Cup Champion and the first player ever drafted by the Edmonton Oilers!! He was selected 21st overall in the 1979 NHL Entry Draft. Lowe then became the first player to score a goal for the Edmonton Oilers NHL franchise! A strong, steady, stay at home defencemen, Kevin patrolled the blue line for the Edmonton Oilers for 13 seasons and helped lead them to 5 Stanley Cups before being traded to the New York Rangers where he played for 4 seasons, and won his 6th Stanley Cup! He returned to Edmonton for one more season as a player, before eventually becoming the Head Coach for the 1999-00 season, then the General Manager, and eventually the Vice Chairman of the Oiler Franchise before retiring from Senior management in August of 2022. He also was challenged to a "Barn Fight" in Lake Placid, New York, by then Anaheim Ducks General manager, Brian Burke - True Story!! Watch the episode, it's a pretty funny & crazy story!
