    The last of our AFCON content, we present to you a convo with Abidjan creative collective, ‘La Sunday’ who host the best day parties in the city, full of welcoming and friendly vibes + next-level sounds.


    Kieran, Kwame and Yaf spoke with Lizzy and Lio pitch-side from the Félix Houphouët Boigny Stadium. Lizzy (project manager) hails from Côte d'Ivoire whilst Lio (DJ + A&R) is from Cameroon, and share what the vibe is like in the city, the inception and progress of their collective as well as similarities and differences between those based in Africa and the diaspora.

    The awesome foursome are back again with another offering! Kieran and Yaf dial in from London whilst Steven and Kwame connect from Amsterdam.   • Episode 167 | AFCON Special w/ El Hadji Diouf

    After a bit of an extended pause, we are back and have returned to the Motherland, live from Côte d'Ivoire for the 2023 African Cup of Nations football tournament.


    Kieran, Kwame, Steven and Yaf have linked up in Abidjan are joined by the two former African Footballer of The Year, Sengalese and ex Liverpool, Lens and Bolton star El Hadji Diouf.


    Diouf was known for his colourful personality on and off the pitch and speaks openly and freely about his career, misconceptions in the media and the importance of staying connected to Africa whilst living in Europe.


    -Diouf speaks about his upbringing in Senegal (2:02)


    -El Hadji speaks about his mission to look after his family when left his country for France at the tender of age 14 to pursue football (4:04)


    -Diouf reveals when prepping for AFCON whilst playing in Europe, certain managers would encourage him to not play in the tournament in order to ensure he kept his place in the squad (24:59)


    -The mandem ask the legend for his prediction on the final (Nigeria vs Côte d'Ivoire) and then he asks the group for their thoughts and feelings 44:25
