Dwane recruited me to WKU before he took Leonard Hamilton’s spot at UK on Coach Eddie Sutton’s staff. So he still got to coach me. We also discuss how he was able to overcome the adversity of being falsely accused of sending $1000 cash to former top UK recruit Chris Mills. The NCAA reinstated him because they had it wrong. But the damage was done. He tells how he was able to pivot and eventually get his NBA coaching career started. Dwane is the ALL-TIME winningest coach in Toronto Raptors history (2011-2018).
