For many (Myself included) this is the moment we have been waiting for since the original Dexter series, which is to see Dexter in NYC. The possibilities are endless and based off the line Dexter says when speaking to Harry “Am I really moving to New York City?” then getting an apartment and NY driver’s license tells me this is for the long haul. While Dexter’s main purpose was to help Harrison, he finds out there is a serial killer hunting down share ride drivers and is referred to as “The Dark Passenger.” As we know this is what Dexter calls his inner urges to kill. Dexter wakes up from a 10-week coma and has plenty ofquestions such as how is he still alive? where is Harrison? And why is the trinity killer and Doakes giving him 2nd life advice? We see a good amount of returning faces including Harry Morgan while also finding out that Harrison has gotten himself into a Dexter type situation. The episode does a good job trying to get original series Dexter fans and those who watched the New Blood series all on the same page. WOW! it feels like the show just started and now we havereached the end of season 1. Thanks to the success of the deployed beacon the crew are rescued. however, it comes with a cost and it’s only fitting since it’s the season finale that the entire crew finally get on the same page on how they feel about SecUnit.
