Fergus has music all around him growing up in Belfast and it turned out to be a way Catholic and Protestant kids could meet and hang out. He worked at Virgin Megastore, sold Thom Yorke a hard drive, played in a band and once spotted Billy Joel in a hardware store.

In this episode I chat to Garry Duke - one of my mum's brothers. Learning guitar later in life, Garry has motivated a number of other friends to do the same which led to a number of them forming a band - and performing at nursing homes around Adelaide.
