    In this episode Caroline and Jack hear from the teachers at the school where Harvey Willgoose was killed. He was described as a cheeky pupil who never crossed the line and in the hours before he died, he joked that nobody would stab him. The pupil from the same school accused of his murder says he lost control after suffering long-term bullying, violence and poor treatment.

    Next week, The Trial returns, taking you inside three of the most explosive legal battles playing out across the globe.


    In the U.S.A., music mogul Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs stands accused of multiple charges including sex trafficking and racketeering, which he strongly denies. We'll be on the ground, reporting the facts as his trial unfolds in New York.


    In Australia, Erin Patterson will stand trial, accused of three counts of murder and one count of attempted murder, after allegedly serving poisonous mushrooms to her ex-husband’s family members. We’ll be reporting from the courtroom in Morwell, Victoria as the case plays out.


    And in Paris, the men accused of robbing Kim Kardashian at gunpoint in 2016 finally stand trial. We’ll be there, reporting every detail as it happens.

    Australian mother-of-two, Erin Patterson, has been charged with three counts of murder and five counts of attempted murder after allegedly serving poisonous mushrooms to her ex husband’s family members.

    In July of 2023, Gail Patterson, Don Patterson and Heather Wilkinson all died, and Ian Wilkinson was left fighting for life after eating Beef Wellington served at a family lunch.


    Four counts of attempting to murder her former husband from preceding years have also been added to the charge sheet.

    In this episode broadcast journalist Caroline Cheetham and Melbourne based correspondent, Wayne Flowers discuss the case and the tight reporting restrictions in place in the run up to the trial which is set for 28th April 2025.
