About Varsha Tiwary

Varsha is a writer and translator based in Delhi. 1990, Aramganj is her translation of the Hindi novel Rambhakt Rangbaz, published by Westland. She is also a fellow at Himalayan Writing Retreat 2025 fellowship for emerging writers.

Her writings have been translated into Arabic, Hungarian, French, Spanish, Hindi, Marathi, and German. She also co-authored The Coordinates of Us/ सर्व अंशांतून आपण – a bilingual cross-translation of English/Marathi poetry. As a poetry book critic, her reviews have appeared in Wasafiri, Sahitya Akademi’s Indian Literature, Asian Cha, and Chandrabhaga.Her first screenplay ‘A Brown coat’ was a quarter-finalist at the Atlanta Film Festival Screenwriting Competition 2020. In this episode, we spoke to author Krishna Kumar where he discussed his debut novel The Ferryman, the inspiration behind it, and his writing journey.Author BioKrishnakumar is a Software Engineer based in the beautiful city of Pondicherry, India.
