This is a call for those whom say they believe in Jesus, yet still invite the devil into their homes during this time of year. The origins are and have always been dark. You have been tricked into thinking it's harmless and you need to come out of those dark ways. I say this with love. You are celebrating human sacrifice to false gods, trafficking, poisoning, demonic manifestations, witchcraft and the like. Jesus didn't go through the torment and die a horrific death so that you could be comfortable spitting in his face so you can do what the masses do. Just a warning.
