    2024/04/14

In this episode, we focus on working with identity.

Working with identity is something I see come up a lot with my clients, and something I’ve wrestled with myself. I am now able to recognize it as a common theme that comes up for many in work life motherhood.

We will explore some of the ways working with identity often shows up, the insights from those, and how to navigate forward while embracing all of the parts of our identities.

  • Episode 7: The 4 Momiculture Principles
    2024/03/02

"For a seed to achieve its greatest expression, it must come completely undone. The shell cracks, its insides come out, and everything changes. To someone who doesn't understand growth, It would look like complete destruction." - Cynthia Occelli

Work life motherhood can feel just like this - everything changing, cracking... but also growth. In my coaching practice, I always promise my clients a good mix between head and heart based techniques because I believe we need both to make real sustainable change. In this episode, we foray into some head-based techniques by examining the four Momiculture principles that really resonate with all of my clients, regardless of their life stage, career stage, job industry, and family dynamics. The four principles are choose for now, data and information are (almost) always helpful, build muscle memory, and make it your own.

  • Episode 6: Working With Your Inner Critic
    2024/02/15

We all have it. That little (or sometimes very big) voice inside of us that tells us we can't or we should or shouldn’t or we're not good enough. Super annoying, isn't it? And exhausting.

Want to know the good news? That inner critic exists for good reasons, initially. It tends to linger a bit longer than is helpful, however.

In this episode we focus on the inner critic, the reasons behind it, what to get out of it, and how to let it go.

  • Episode 3: Tools Deep Dive - Values Exercise
    2023/08/19

In this episode, we will be digging into one of the tools introduced in Episode 2 when we visited with guest Elizabeth Wood of Matrescence 4th Trimester Planning. Elizabeth and I briefly discussed how helpful it can be to get clarity on one’s values. I know, I know, you may be thinking, “but Megan… I don’t need that fluffy stuff… I need to know how to find balance in my work life, achieve my personal and professional goals, and not burn out trying.” I get it. So, I’m going to offer up one of my momiculture (that’s the name of my business, by the way) – one of my momiculture guiding principals – trust the process.

I offer up to you that you cannot, and will not, find the work life you desire, without first discovering and getting clarity in your values. If you have not listened to Episode 2, that’s okay. You can go back and revisit it at any time if it is of interest to you. Join me in this Episode 3 to explore why a values exercise can be so beneficial and how to get started.
