Antony has directed three feature films and is the boss of aviation film making, he has been the arial co-ordinator of many of the Avengers films, James Bond and George Clooney’s Hulu series, catch 22. He has lots of great stories about how it was working with Clooney, and other stories about working with big directors. The story of how he got his first two feature films made as micro-budget films with people he went to film school with, serve as a great lesson to anyone new to the industry who is hoping to break into producing or directing. He then built on that success with the flood starring Lena heady and Ian Glen from game of thrones to wide critical acclaim. The conversation also ranges into his favourite films and how he sees the industry going in the next 5 years or so, as well as his view of the role of a director and other department heads. He talks about the role of a director and how they must collaborate with all the film’s departments. Apologies for the audio quality, it was recorded on zoom and but the content of the conversation more than makes up for it. I am sure anyone with any interest in film with find this interview to be entertaining and useful, so enjoy.
