    Host Ben Mulroney is joined by David Glabais, Throat Cancer Patient. David is one of Toronto’s most beloved guitar teachers who faced a life-changing diagnosis of throat cancer in October 2023 at age 61. Undergoing rigorous treatment, including 35 rounds of radiation, 5 rounds of chemotherapy, and participation in a clinical trial at Princess Margaret, David transformed his fear into determination. Music became his anchor, helping him process his journey and inspiring him to continue teaching and giving back. David channeled his experience into organizing Unbreakable, a benefit concert at Massey Hall in November 2024 which featured classic pop and rock hits, to celebrate hope and raised over $100K for Princess Margaret Cancer Centre.

She is 24 years old now but was diagnosed with Cancer two years ago with Stage 2 Hodgkin’s Lymphoma, undergoing four cycles of chemotherapy at Princess Margaret at their malignant hematology clinic. She will be celebrating her official two years cancer-free on December 8th!

  • Princess Margaret Radiothon - Kerri Parslow

    Host Ben Mulroney is joined by Kerri Parslow, Ovarian Cancer Survivor. After losing her aunt to ovarian cancer in 2017, Kerri founded Law Suits, a charity event featuring Canadian lawyers walking in a fashion show to raise funds for Princess Margaret. A year later, Kerri discovered she carried the faulty BRIP1 gene, predisposing her to ovarian cancer. In 2022, a preventative surgery revealed stage 0 ovarian cancer, an aggressive form of the disease. Kerri underwent five rounds of preventative chemotherapy over 4 months. Grateful for her early diagnosis and exceptional care, she has since become a PMCF board member and relaunched Law Suits to continue raising awareness and funds for cancer research. Now two years cancer-free with an excellent prognosis, Kerri credits early detection and the dedicated care team at Princess Margaret for saving her life. Her story is a powerful testament to the life-saving impact of early detection and world-class cancer care.

    Host Ben Mulroney is joined by Dave Binesaari, Fundraiser & Caregiver to Mother and Grandfather. Back in 2011, he played in Road Hockey, joining on a whim after hearing about it on the radio because he liked hockey and wanted the chance to meet some of his NHL heroes. 13 years later, his mindset towards the event has changed drastically. His family has lost many loved ones to cancer and last year his Mom was diagnosed with Stage 3 Colon Cancer. In 2023, their family was thrilled to see her finish her Chemotherapy. In 2024, he raised funds in Road Hockey on behalf of his Pa whose been diagnosed with Leukemia. After a month in the hospital, he is home recovering and receiving treatment, but it is an uphill battle.
