Naomi grew up in Maryland, just outside of D.C., where a love of both protests and hiking combined to nurture a passion for environmental learning and justice. Naomi studied Environmental Engineering at Princeton University, with a particular focus on the inequitable impacts of air pollution and science communications. While there, she also helped start the campaign to divest and dissociate the university from fossil fuels. Naomi went on to work at the Environmental Defense Fund as a climate science fellow, and later for the New Hampshire Democratic Party as a field organizer for the 2022 midterm elections.

Arianna Huff recently joined CCAN as the grants manager after graduating from Duke University with her Master’s of Environmental Management. Arianna studied Environmental Sustainability at the University of Oklahoma which contributed to her interest in the environment, climate and sustainable food systems. She has worked in varying types of organizations from local organizations teaching children to garden to a larger international development organization, all of which were dedicated to environmental improvement.

Last week labor leaders joined climate advocates in what would normally be considered an unlikely cross-over episode. They rallied on the National Mall, in Washington, D.C. to show congress their support for an immediate passage of President Biden's "American Jobs Plan" with a 100% Clean Energy Standard. 

On June 9th, 102 faith leaders nationwide on capitol hill to support 100% Clean energy and the American Jobs Plan.

Author, climate scientist, and CCAN board member Dave Goodrich is an avid cyclist. So much so that he has embarked on a 700 miles journey across the Permian Basin. On his way he has been taking in the sites of the most active oil (and wind) producing areas in the country, and documenting what he sees along the way. 

We are so excited to be have been able to chat with him last week after finishing his perilous journey.
