  • Open The Voice Gate - Dragongate Gate of Origin 2024 Review!
    2024/09/18

Welcome back to Open The Voice Gate! Case (https://twitter.com/_inyourcase) and Mike (https://twitter.com/fujiiheya) are back with an update on the comings and goings of Dragongate.

It’s a Mike solo show week and he’s here to talk all about Gate of Origin 2024 (9/16/24), Dragongate’s big Sendai area show for the year. Before getting into Monday’s show, Mike gives a history of Gate of Origin, where he thinks it ended up settling on Dragongate’s ranking of shows and what he sees Gate of Origin being going forward. From there, Mike reviews a fun show with Dragon Dia defending the Brave Gate against Jacky Kamei, Triangle Gate champions Natural Vibes face the cranky vet team of Masaaki Mochizuki, Don Fujii and Toru Owashi, and the most popular heel unit in the Dragongate Era, Mad Blankey reunites to face Z-Brats!

  • Music of the Mat Remix: Card Subject to Change
    2024/09/17

Wrestling fans are used to seeing these four words on show posters and lineups: "Card Subject to Change." No wrestling match is set in stone; sometimes they need to be changed or canceled because of injury, emergency, or travel issues. On this episode, the proverbial card changes as Andrew and guest Jeremy Sexton (Voices of Wrestling, Sport of Pro Wrestling) play songs where the lead vocals are not performed by the typical lead singer(s). Instead, it's either another band member or a guest stepping in. Artists featured on this episode include The Beach Boys, New Order, Heart, Steely Dan, Metric, The Rolling Stones, Queen, Foo Fighters, and many more. Call the booker and tell him you can't make the show, because this episode deserves your full attention!
