About Iris McKairin

Iris McKairin, aka by the pen name Lyssa Gabriel, is a practicing Registered Nurse who enjoys writing in her free time. Divorced, she is the proud mother of two wonderful adult children and grandmother of three amazing boys. Performing in her blood, Iris grew up assisting her father, Stanley Lobenstern, who was a renowned magician, both on stage as well as on Eastern Steamship Line's cruise ship, 'The Ariadne'. She went on to pursue her acting talent as a Civil War Re-enactor, and later, as a member of Scarborough Faire Renaissance Festival performing company. She is thrilled that her childhood dream of becoming a published author now shines as a glorious wish come true!
